Hall Facilities work
We talk a lot in our social medial posts about how our money is being spent on hall capital projects. There are a lot of them! We wanted to take some time and show you here what some of those projects are, and why they are needed!
We looked after a big electrical project in the hall this summer that updated all of our aged electrical panels. Many other smaller projects were completed also, like removing outside lighting fixtures, replacing interior lighting and adding some new outlets to our latest project, a new lower hall office!
The lower hall partially flooded in the heavy rains during the summer of 2025, and it became a priority to have water redirected away from the building. We had work on our eavestrough system to move water to the south side of the hall, and weeping tiles had to be cleared of blockages. After that, we had grading to the land on the NW corner of the building where water had come in. A large foundation crack was also repaired in our main office, the site of more water leakage.
We turned a lower hall storage room into an office this summer and managed to set it up with some free office furniture! The renovation of this storage room has now given us as additional revenue stream that will help us pay for the future facilities work still to come! Our next hall project is probably the most exciting yet so stay tuned!
