Legion 289

Local Legion 289 is located in the basement of the Killarney-Glengarry Hall at 2828 28 St. SW. Please use the side entrance, not the main hall doors, to visit.

Everyone is welcome—no membership is required! Families can enjoy the main area. The Legion hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including Steak Night, Horse Races, Crib Tournaments, Meat Draws, and much more.

The Legion is always looking for volunteers and new members. Visitors are invited to drop by or reach out for more information.

• Fridays: 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM

• Saturdays: 2:00 PM - 9:00 PM

• Sundays: 2:00 PM - 7:00 PM (Closed Sundays during the summer)

• Saturday, December 14:

  • Horse Races and Hot Dogs – 3:30ish

• Saturday, December 21:

  • Christmas Party, Gift Exchange (suggest $25.00)  and Ugly Sweater Contest – 3:30ish

  • Please bring an appetizer

  • Steak Night

  • Takes place on the last Friday of every month!
